What is PT 141?
Good question. PT 141, which is also called Bremelanotide, is a peptide that helps treat sexual dysfunction in both women and men. PT 141 is used to help increase sexual desire in both sexes without some of the symptoms of Viagra or Cialis in men.
Scientifically speaking PT 141 isn’t naturally produced in the body and is created from the hormone called Melanotan 2 which uniquely enough is thought to create darker skin pigmentation or a “tanning” effect. It’s affects the melanocortin receptors as a nonselective agonist.
Some have used it as a way to get a natural looking tan without the damaging effects of the sun (there are some that say it’s not used in sunless tanning products because it would cause too much sexual arousal or intense sexual desire in those who used it for sunless tanning purposes).

PT 141 Side Effects
There can be some side effects to using PT 141 including increased sexual desire, higher blood pressure, flushing, headaches and/or nausea.
