WHAT IS SEMAGLUTIDE?

Semaglutide injections for mens weight loss

Semaglutide was approved to treat people with type 2 Diabetes in 2017. During initial studies of the medication, researchers discovered that Semaglutide was also helping study participants lose significant amounts of weight in addition to controlling their blood sugar.

It mimics the actions of a hormone known as GLP-1, or glucagon-like peptide-1. This hormone slows gastric emptying, so you feel full after you eat more quickly and for a more extended period. As a result, Semaglutide reduces your hunger levels. It also regulates blood sugar levels, lowers blood pressure and suppresses appetite and food cravings.

Semaglutide goes even further than that, lowering fat levels and plaques in your bloodstream. It also decreases various symptoms commonly associated with diabetes, including excessive thirst, excessive urination, blurry vision and fatigue.

People taking Semaglutide eat less because it reduces their feelings of hunger. So by pairing Semaglutide with a healthy diet and a good exercise program, you will lose weight. In early studies, patients lost 15% or more of their body fat within one year, and almost half the trial participants lost 20% of their body weight. And here’s the even better news: they kept it off. Those are numbers that parallel the success rate of bariatric surgery — but losing weight with Semaglutide is far safer, easier and less invasive.

How Does A Semaglutide Program Work?

Two versions of Semaglutide have been approved: one for managing Type 2 diabetes and one for managing weight loss.. The weight loss management program typically uses a slightly higher dose to get its effects. It’s not intended for someone who just needs to lose a few pounds but requires participants to be medically classified as overweight or obese.

Semaglutide is delivered via an injector pen; we will show you how to give yourself the injections, which you’ll only need to do once a week. You’ll start at a low dose of 0.25 mg per week, then gradually ramp up over a few months to as high as 2.5 mg per week. After about four months, you’ll reach a maintenance dose level, which you can stay on until you’ve lost the weight you want.

Benefits of Semaglutide for Men

Men who have been feeling sluggish because they’ve gained unwanted weight and can’t seem to lose it can benefit significantly from taking Semaglutide. The primary benefit is weight loss for men with a BMI of 27 to 30 (medically classified as overweight) and especially for those with a BMI of over 30 (medically classified as obese).

With the weight loss prompted by Semaglutide, you can also expect significant improvement in any weight-related medical issues. Many men who are overweight or obese experience high blood pressure, high cholesterol, unhealthy glucose levels or Type 2 diabetes. Semaglutide is effective against all of these, and it also boosts your overall cardiovascular health. When you pair Semaglutide use with exercise and a healthy diet, you can also expect to see your appetite come under control. Along with that, you’ll experience a reduction in food cravings and a greater ability to control meal portions.

Am I Eligible for Semaglutide?

If you’ve been medically classified as overweight (due to a BMI of 27 or more) or as obese (due to a BMI of 30 or more), there’s a good chance you are eligible to take advantage of this revolutionary weight loss medication. If you have type 2 diabetes or have an uncontrolled A1C level, you are eligible. In addition, you’re eligible if a diagnosis of either high cholesterol or high blood pressure accompanies that BMI. In addition, some men who have heart failure or kidney disease are also eligible.

Don’t take Semaglutide if you have a family history of medullary thyroid cancer. A history or family history of other thyroid or endocrine cancers may also make you ineligible to participate in a Semaglutide weight loss program.
